T oday I want to show you 3 powerful words:

“One thing I have DESIRED, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the HOUSE of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His TEMPLE” Ps. 27:4

DESIRED: This word in Hebrew carries within it’s meaning of “seeking to know or understand that which is not known”. Isn’t that what is continually in our hearts? Yes! To comprehend Jesus in ways that will affect our lives of worship is our “desire”.

HOUSE: Hebrews didn’t think of “house” as a building. They knew that it that it meant the “household”. In other words, David’s desire was connected toward His “family”: Israel! Thought provoking?

TEMPLE: I love this word! It’s its’ origin, the word “temple” meant the place of being “tamed for the yoke”. It seems that the Psalmist understood that the antidote for our “wild-ness” is found in God’s presence! How wonderful!
